Albany Rurak Cemetery, Menands, New York

It's rare to see a bronze relief quite that large, set into a mausoleum.
Now, this is really interesting. Click on it, to enlarge, and have a closer look at the detail.

I'll refrain from comment on the family name.

  1. Stumbled in and just wanted to say hi. Beautiful. I've taken photos in black & white of tombs. Keep it up!

I would like to invite you to leave a comment on my blog. At my blog I ask people to tell me about their day in seven words or less. Just leave me a comment with your seven words, you can do it anonymously. If you'd rather not, then have a nice day.

  2. In the early 80's, I did a complete study of this cemetery, from before it was a cemetery, to well into the 1950's. It has such a rich and fascinating past!

I grew up right by ARC and St. Agnes. A lot of my family is buried there, and I used to go hiking there with my dogs every Sunday, from the time I was a teen until my late 20's. Thanks for the great photos!
